Responsibilities

Job Summary Drug Diversion Analyst is responsible for proactively identifying and investigating potential drug diversion within the acute care hospital environment. This position supports efforts to safeguard patients, staff, and the organization by analyzing medication use patterns, monitoring controlled substance transactions, and leading or supporting thorough investigations into suspected diversion incidents. The analyst collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to ensure a compliant and secure medication-use process aligned with regulatory requirements and hospital policy. Essential Functions Data Analysis & Surveillance :

• Analyze medication use and transaction data to identify trends, anomalies, and potential concerns related to drug diversion.
• Perform routine and ad hoc data reviews using EHR, ADM, and drug diversion analytics platforms to monitor compliance and suspicious activity.
• Escalate identified concerns for investigation in a timely manner.
• Develop and maintain automated tracking reports, dashboards, and surveillance tools.
• Support the maintenance of the Drug Diversion Dashboard for ongoing monitoring.
• Plan and execute targeted data queries to support diversion monitoring objectives.
• Create visualizations including graphs, spreadsheets, and dashboards to effectively communicate finding
