We are looking for a dedicated Payroll Specialist to join our team in the Santa Maria area. This role requires a detail-oriented individual to manage payroll processes, ensure compliance with regulations, and support employees with payroll-related inquiries. The ideal candidate will excel in maintaining accurate records and leveraging payroll systems effectively.

Responsibilities :

• Process weekly payroll, including collecting and verifying timekeeping data, calculating wages, handling commissions and adjustments, and issuing paychecks or direct deposits promptly.
• Maintain organized and accurate payroll records, ensuring proper documentation storage and reconciling payroll reports for correctness.
• Assist with regulatory reporting tasks, such as preparing quarterly tax filings, W-2 forms, and compliance documentation for various regulations.
• Handle certified payroll-related activities, including scanning, e-filing, and submitting documents to apprenticeship programs as required.
• Utilize payroll and accounting platforms, such as ADP Workforce Now, Acumatica, and Service Titan, to manage payroll processes and reconcile general ledger accounts.
• Prepare detailed payroll reports and documentation to support both internal and external audits.
• Address employee inquiries regarding paychecks, deductions, and corrections, escalating complex issues as necessary.
• Proven experience in full-cycle payroll processing, covering all stages from data collection to payment issuance.
• Knowledge of multi-state payroll regulations and compliance requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to manage payroll for organizations with 101 to 500 employees.
• Proficiency in using ADP Workforce Now for payroll management.
• Strong skills in Microsoft Excel for data organization and analysis.
• Familiarity with payroll systems and platforms such as Acumatica and Service Titan.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial data.
• Excellent communication skills to address employee concerns effectively.
