job_description.job_card.job_descriptionEstablish and promote high standards and expectations for all students and staff for excellent academic performance. Work on the selection development coordination and implementation of the districts curriculum. Develop schedule coordinate implement and monitor professional development. Gather and analyze school-based assessment data throughout the year (benchmarks DRA EDL etc.) to be used for data-driven instructional decisions. Assist Principals Assistant / Vice Principals Supervisors Department Chairpersons and Instructional Chairpersons with guidance to teachers and paraprofessionals in the development and improvement of teaching. Work collaboratively with school staff ensuring the effective analysis and use of data to inform instruction leading to increased student achievement. Assist teachers in the administration collection analysis and dissemination of formative and summative assessment results. Conduct planning conferences with teachers to assess needs and plan in-class support. Communicate consistently and confidentially with teachers via visits phone conversations or email. Collaborate with supervisors helping teachers and other coaches to plan classroom support. Co-teach model or assist teachers with lessons as requested by teachers building administration or supervisors. Assist teachers in screening and diagnostic activities monitoring intervention strategies and student progress. Model effective research-based instructional techniques in the classroom to train teachers with the goal of providing opportunities for all students to participate and succeed. Assist the building administration to conduct needs assessments develop school improvement plans and evaluate student proficiency and program effectiveness. Provide demonstration lessons for classroom and academic support teachers to model effective assessment and instructional strategies. Visit classrooms regularly in order to offer staff positive suggestions relative to more effective approaches in individualized small-group and large-group instruction. Assist in the determination of types of programs needed by the schools and make appropriate recommendations. Work on the selection ordering coordination maintenance distribution and inventory of all instructional materials equipment supplies technology and textbooks. Assist in the programming and scheduling of student classes and courses. Analyze district data and compile prepare and coordinate any district state and federal reports involving the educational services in the schools. Analyze and interpret formative and summative test data in conjunction with appropriate directors principals assistant / vice principals supervisors department chairpersons and instructional chairpersons. Attend meetings of the Board of Education and its committees as required by the Superintendent or his designee. Participate in staff meetings administrator meetings and committee meetings. Report on the status of district programs and services. Maintain copies of all necessary records and forms related to supervised programs and services. Interpret the programs and policies of the district to staff students and the community at large. Assist in long range and strategic planning for the district. Prepare district state and federal reports as required. Keep the staff informed and seek ideas for the improvement of the district. Conduct meetings as necessary for the proper functioning of the district. Maintain visibility with students staff parents and the community attending school functions regularly to demonstrate a genuine interest in the students and staff. Maintain effective communications with agencies and resources outside of the district representing the district at community state and professional meetings. Continue to grow professionally through collaboration with colleagues and professional growth experiences. Summarize interpret and disseminate current developments in learning theory and research instructional strategies and program services through reading of professional journals participation in professional development and involvement in professional organizations. Protect confidentiality of records and information gained as part of exercising professional duties and use discretion in sharing such information within legal confines. Observe strictly and exceed to avoid the appearance of conflict all requirements of the School Ethics Act and board policy on vendor relations regarding conflicts of interest in employment purchasing and other decisions including solicitation and acceptance of gifts and favors. Submit in a timely fashion the required annual disclosure statement regarding employment and financial interests if applicable. Adhere to New Jersey school law State Board of Education rules and regulations Board of Education policies and regulations and contractual obligations. Oversee the implementation of New Jersey Quality Single Accountability Continuum (QSAC) or equivalent system. Perform all other duties as required by law code or Board policy. Perform such other tasks and assume such other responsibilities as the Superintendent or his designee may assign from time to time and not otherwise prohibited by law or regulation. Ten (10) months Eleven (11) months or Twelve (12) months. Contract terms salary and benefits as established by the collective bargaining agreement. Conditions established by laws and codes of New Jersey; and policies rules and regulations established by the Passaic Board of Education. Tenurable.

- A bachelors degree a masters degree preferred.
- A valid New Jersey instructional certificate with appropriate endorsement(s) in accordance with the requirements of New Jersey education statutes and regulations.
- At least four (4) years working in public education.
- Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of child growth and development effective instructional strategies classroom management learning assessment and diagnosis and research related to learning.
- A record of strong instructional experiences and skills; experience in teacher leadership preferred.
- Management and communication skills.
- Required criminal history background check and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status.
