Position Overview
Our client is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Human Resources Assistant for our Human Resources Department located in White Plains, NY .
Job Summary
Reporting to the Human Resources Lead , the Human Resources Assistant is a detail-oriented and proactive professional who will support the daily operations of the HR department. The ideal candidate will handle administrative tasks, ensure accurate record-keeping, and assist in the implementation of HR policies and procedures. This role is essential in maintaining the efficiency and organization of the HR function across our organization.
Key Responsibilities
Support the day-to-day operations of the HR departmentMaintain and update employee records, databases, and documentation both digitally and physicallyAssist in onboarding and offboarding processes including preparation of new hire packets and exit documentationSupport the recruitment process by screening resumes and candidates, coordinating interviews, and collecting candidate assessment reportsPrepare and distribute HR-related correspondence such as employment letters, offer letters, wage notices, status change notifications, and memosEnsure compliance with internal policies and labor regulations regarding employee files and data protectionAssist with payroll data, benefits administration, and leave management as neededSupport training and development initiatives by organizing sessions and tracking participationServe as the first point of contact for general HR inquiries and escalate issues when necessaryQualifications
Education :
Associate's degree in human resources, business administration, or related field preferred1-2 years of experience in an HR or administrative support rolePaylocity experience is ideal, though would consider experience with other HRIS'Strong attention to detail and organizational skillsExcellent written and verbal communication abilitiesAbility to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive informationCustomer service orientation with a collaborative approachCommitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion principles
