Behavioral Health Technician 4x10 schedule

The Behavioral Health Technician will provide care and services at the detox and residential levels of care. They will help the Health Care Practitioner and LVNs by carrying out patients' treatment plans. The Behavioral Health Technician will be responsible to provide safe, effective, and efficient implementation of direct care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and standards of care.

4x10 Shift Schedule : Friday & Saturday from 7 : 00am to 5 : 30pm Sunday & Monday from 1 : 00pm to 11 : 30pm

Responsibilities :

• Aid in conducting new patient initial assessments and providing orientation to new patients
• Assess and document patients' needs and care, collaborating with other staff to manage patient care
• Observe medications and treatments as ordered by the consulting physician, maintaining accurate records as required according to company policies and procedures
• Ensure infection control practices and reporting procedures are implemented and maintained
• Respond to emergencies and initiate action as outlined in company policies and procedures
• Perform basic health screenings, vital signs, and first aid procedures, as necessary, according to company guidelines
• Conduct urinalysis test collection according to company policies and procedures
• Maintain communication with LVNs, supervisor, Health Care Practitioner, and / or other key staff regarding patient care
• Support program staff with resident de-escalation and crisis management in a manner which fully supports the needs of the resident
• Ensure patient compliance with facility rules and guidelines
• Occasionally drive clients to groups / meetings and / or drive clients from / to the airport.
• Other duties as assigned
