Your Responsibilities Will Include :
As a valued independent contractor, your expertise will be crucial in :
System Installation & Repair : Proficiently installing, maintaining, and repairing a wide range of HVAC / R systems for both homes and businesses across Texas.
Troubleshooting & Diagnostics : Expertly diagnosing and repairing system malfunctions, including issues with compressors, motors, fans, and electrical components.
Preventative Maintenance : Performing thorough inspections and maintenance to ensure optimal system performance and energy efficiency.
Ductwork Installation & Repair : Installing, repairing, and cleaning ductwork to improve airflow and air quality.
Refrigerant Management : Handling refrigerants in compliance with federal and local regulations, including charging, recovering, and recycling.
Heating System Work : Servicing and repairing furnaces, boilers, heat pumps, and other heating systems to ensure safe and efficient operation.
Air Quality Solutions : Installing and maintaining air purification systems, humidifiers, and dehumidifiers.
Code Compliance : Conducting thorough inspections and ensuring all work rigorously complies with the National Mechanical Code and the Texas Building Codes .
Workplace Safety : Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment at all times, upholding professional standards.
Requirements :
To excel in this role and comply with Texas regulations, you must possess :
A valid Texas driver’s license and reliable transportation capable of transporting necessary tools and equipment throughout the state.
All necessary tools for comprehensive HVAC work, ensuring efficiency and quality on every job.
Proven experience as an HVAC technician, with a strong portfolio of successfully completed projects.
A proactive attitude and the ability to work independently while consistently delivering top-notch service and exceeding client expectations.
Possession of an active Texas Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Contractor License from the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) or the ability to obtain one prior to starting.
EPA Section 608 Certification for handling refrigerants.
Demonstrable knowledge of the National Mechanical Code and the Texas Building and Fire Codes .
Proof of General Liability , Disability , and Workers' Compensation Insurance , as required for independent contractors operating in Texas.
