Accounting Clerk

About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable  Accounting Clerk  to support the financial operations. This role ensures accurate billing, payment processing, and recordkeeping while maintaining compliance. The ideal candidate is organized, discreet, and thrives in a professional, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Assist with daily accounting tasks including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries

Prepare and process client invoices, ensuring accuracy and timely distribution

Enter, track, and reconcile client payments and retainers

Maintain and organize financial records and supporting documentation

Process vendor invoices and expense reimbursements

Support month-end closing tasks including bank reconciliations and financial reporting

Respond to internal and client inquiries regarding billing or payments

Assist the accounting team with audits and reporting as needed

Maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial and client information

Qualifications

1–3 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience (law office experience a plus)

Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Excellent organizational and time-management skills

Proficient in Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets and general office systems

Strong communication skills and professional demeanor

Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
