Job Summary
Receives pre-determined work assignments subject to a moderate level of control and review. Directs subordinates to complete assignments using established guidelines, procedures, and policies. Works on issues of moderate scope. Requires full working knowledge of functional responsibilities. The Supervisor will be responsible for providing technical support and direction for after hour building trade activities which include the following functions : planning and supervising activities for preventive maintenance; coordinating emergency repair services; planning and implementation of minor facilities alterations; supervising / leading after hour hot work such as welding, sprinkler system fitting / testing, HVAC, electrical and plumbing system alterations where fire and shut down hot work permits are required. Supervision of all craft maintenance; staff training; closely monitoring staff workload, productivity, and recharge work; and approving purchase of supplies necessary to complete campus work orders. Available On-call, 24 / 7 to support emergency repair services.
The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.
Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.
The salary range for this position is $78,900 - $167,300 (Annual Rate).

The UCSF Facilities Services Department (FS) is committed to creating an exceptional campus physical environment to support the research, teaching, health care and community service mission of the University. FS employs over 460 professional staff and acts as a steward for over $100 million in operating funds to achieve its goals in operating and maintaining the UCSF campus environment. FS is organized into 7 operating units : (1) General Services Director / Parnassus Operations, (2) East Campus / Mission Bay Operations, (3) Engineering & Utilities, (4) Infrastructure & Renewal Programs, (5) Customer Service & Technology, (6) Custodial Services, and (7) Office of the AVC, including Administration & Communications.
