Position Summary

The Buyer I will support the procurement function by executing purchasing activities, maintaining supplier relationships, and ensuring timely delivery of goods and services. This entry-level role is integral to maintaining optimal inventory levels, coordinating with internal stakeholders, and contributing to the overall efficiency of the supply chain.

Key Responsibilities

Execute and monitor purchase orders for inventory and non-inventory items

Assist in sourcing and qualifying new parts and suppliers

Maintain inventory levels aligned with production requirements

Update and manage supplier pull signals based on production forecasts

Generate purchase orders in accordance with the Plan for Every Part (PFEP) strategy

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess material needs

Support achievement of monthly and annual inventory targets

Process returns of non-conforming materials to suppliers

Participate in Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) initiatives related to production delays and missed delivery timelines

Negotiate pricing and terms with suppliers while maintaining quality standards

Track and expedite critical shipments to ensure on-time delivery

Resolve supplier invoice discrepancies within agreed timelines

Engage in cross-departmental collaboration to support procurement and operational goals

Qualifications

0-2 years of relevant experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting

Familiarity with procurement processes and MRP systems is a plus

Strong attention to detail, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel)

Education

Bachelor's Degree required

Preferred fields : Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Accounting, or related disciplines

Pay Transparency : A reasonable estimate of the annual base salary for this position is $65,000 - $75,000 + discretionary annual bonus. Pay ranges may vary by location.
