Material Planner

A company is looking for a Material Planner to ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials while balancing inventory targets. Key Responsibilities Plan and replenish materials by converting ERP-generated orders into purchase orders and monitoring open orders Manage inventory levels to prevent overstock and obsolescence while adjusting orders based on production schedules Collaborate across functions to identify alternate sources and communicate material availability updates to stakeholders Required Qualifications Post-secondary education in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field At least 2 years of experience in material planning, purchasing, or supply chain within manufacturing Proficiency with ERP systems and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel Understanding of Material Requirements Planning (MRP), Bills of Materials (BOM), and inventory control principles SCMP, CPIM, or CSCP designation (in progress or completed) is an asset
