Risk Analyst - 12-Month Contract
Location : White Plains, NY (Hybrid - Minimum 3 days onsite)

Position Overview
We are seeking an analytical Risk Analyst to support comprehensive project risk scoring and portfolio assessment initiatives. This role involves evaluating project risks across enterprise risk categories, comparing scores to established risk appetite thresholds, and preparing detailed reports to support strategic decision-making and organizational resilience planning.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Risk Assessment : Review project portfolios and supporting data from subject matter experts to understand potential risks and identify risk factors
- Risk Scoring & Analysis : Evaluate and score risks for each project across enterprise risk categories using established methodologies and scoring tools
- Documentation & Justification : Document comprehensive justification statements to support risk score decisions and methodology applications
- Risk Appetite Comparison : Compare calculated risk scores to organizational risk appetite using provided methodologies and identify projects that exceed, meet, or fall below defined thresholds
- Portfolio Analysis : Conduct qualitative assessments to identify project risks, trends, and insights across the entire project portfolio
- Detailed Reporting : Prepare comprehensive reports summarizing risk scores for projects and analyzing risk levels across the portfolio
- Stakeholder Collaboration : Work with various stakeholders to understand their needs, expectations, and risk concerns
- Trend Identification : Analyze patterns and trends in risk data to provide actionable insights for strategic planning
- Methodology Application : Apply established risk management frameworks and best practices to ensure consistent and accurate assessments
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or related field1-5 years of risk management experience (1-3 years minimum)Proven experience in risk identification and assessment processesReport preparation experience for key stakeholders and executive audiencesStrong qualitative risk assessment skills for identifying project risks and portfolio trendsExcellent written and verbal communication skills for presenting findings and recommendationsExperience collaborating with diverse stakeholders across organizational levelsStrong time management abilities to evaluate multiple projects and meet deadlines efficientlyProficiency in risk assessment tools and softwareAdvanced skills in data analysis and visualization tools (Excel, Power BI, Tableau)Understanding of industry best practices and risk management frameworks (COSO, ISO31000) preferredStrong analytical and problem-solving capabilitiesAttention to detail and accuracy in risk analysis and documentationReady to strengthen organizational resilience through comprehensive risk analysis?
