About the Job

The OppFi Controllership department is looking for a Senior Accountant eager to make a significant impact on our financial operations. In this role, you will be instrumental in our month-end close process, focusing on accurate and timely financial reporting. Your responsibilities will include the comprehensive preparation and reconciliation of general ledger accounts and financial statements. You will also contribute to complex technical accounting research and ensure the effectiveness of our internal control environment.

What You Get to Do

• Assist with the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring transactions are recorded in accordance with US GAAP and internal policies and procedures.
• Assist with the preparation of monthly financial statements
• Assist with the assessment and implementation of new accounting pronouncements
• Evaluate financial policies and procedures and suggest process improvements
• Assist with coordination of external audits, quarterly reviews and annual audits performed by external auditors
• Research relevant accounting guidance issued by FASB or the SEC, determining and documenting the appropriate technical accounting and reporting treatment
• Monitor changes to the company's business processes, ensuring internal controls are implemented and being performed as established
• Completes ad-hoc accounting and reporting related projects as assigned by management

Final offers are determined based on a myriad of factors including, but not limited to experience, skills, qualifications, and other relevant business considerations. In addition to base pay, the total compensation package includes eligibility and potential for performance-based bonuses and equity grants dependent upon the role and job level.

Compensation Range : $71,200 - $106,800 USD
