About the Opportunity :

GPAC is proud to be partnered with a leading steel fabrication and erection company known for its work across commercial, industrial, and residential markets. Our client is seeking a highly skilled Steel Detailer with a strong background in both structural steel and miscellaneous metals to join their growing drafting and design team.

This is a direct-hire opportunity offering long-term stability, engaging projects, and a collaborative team environment.

Key Responsibilities :

• Create detailed fabrication and erection drawings for structural steel and miscellaneous metals (stairs, railings, catwalks, etc.) using industry-standard software.
• Interpret architectural and structural drawings and translate them into accurate shop and field drawings.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and fabrication teams to ensure drawing accuracy and clarity.
• Review and modify drawings based on design changes, RFIs, and markups.
• Ensure drawings are completed in accordance with project specifications, codes, and standards.
• Maintain organized project files and collaborate on schedules to meet production deadlines.
• Communicate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders throughout the detailing process.
