Job Title : Medical Laboratory Scientist

Job Location : Lewisville, TX

Weekly Estimated Pay or Pay Range : $29-$34 / hr DOE, 10-15% shift differential

Bonus : $5,000 - if relocating, may be able to switch to relocation assistance.

Schedule : Day and Evening Shift

All shifts require at least 1 weekend day

Tuesday-Saturday ; Friday - Monday; Sunday - Thursday

Start Date : ASAP

Key Responsibilities :

Follow the laboratory's procedures for specimen handling and processing, test analyses, reporting, and maintaining records of patient test results.

Maintain records that demonstrate that proficiency testing samples are tested in the same manner as patient specimens.

Analyze specimens using approved testing procedures.

Review and release test results.

Follow CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA, and safety guidelines as described in their respective guidelines.

Follow the laboratory's established policies and procedures whenever test systems are not within the laboratory's established acceptable levels of performance.

Identify problems that may adversely affect test performance or reporting of test results, correct the problems encountered or immediately notify the senior technologist or supervisor.

Qualifications :

Must have Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry or Biochemistry with at least 25 chemistry credits completed, classes completed in instrumentation and analytical chemistry, and 1+ year of CLIA lab experience

1 year Clinical experience (high complexity testing) preferred

Experience with LC-MS or ICP-MS strongly preferred
