What does this role entail?
ACCEL teachers work as a team to close the achievement gap for all students in the school. Teachers use cutting-edge technology to effectively differentiate lessons to meet the unique needs of learners. They use instructional groupings to ensure students are receiving the right content at the right time. Next Generation learning is a critical component of the instructional model, and ACCEL Academy faculty and staff will support one another through training, feedback, and collaboration to embrace the use of 21st century teaching methods to reach their students.
The Role :
ACCEL teachers hold primary responsibility for the development of curriculum, the delivery of content, and the growth and success of their students. Each teacher teaches approximately five 60-minute periods per day with an average class size of approximately 25 students.
Teachers' hours are 7 : 00AM - 3 : 00PM daily, with the student academic day running from 7 : 30AM to 2 : 30PM on Mondays through Thursday and 7 : 30AM to 12 : 00PM on Friday. There will also be an option to teach during the evening program for additional compensation. Teachers will be allowed work up to 10 hours per week in the evening program.

Salary Range : From / To As per State Salary Matrix, depending on degree and experience. Bachelor?s beginning pay - $41,690 for 187 days. Additionally, teachers may be eligible for an annual bonus, pending job performance and the availability of funding.
