Senior Deep Foundations Geotechnical Project Engineer

GFT is seeking a Senior Geotechnical Project Engineer with significant Deep Foundation Experience  to join our Geotechnical Dams & Hydraulics Group in Phoenix, Arizona ! This role follows a hybrid work model, requiring regular attendance at our Phoenix Office.Joining the dams and hydraulics team at GFT means contributing to innovative solutions for sustainable water management and infrastructure. What you’ll be challenged to do :  This is an excellent career opportunity for an experienced, motivated Senior Project Geotechnical Engineer who has experience with Utility Clients and Projects that involve heavy civil work and earth work and deep foundations. In this capacity, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following :

• Lead geotechnical staff in planning and overseeing field explorations, construction projects, laboratory testing, geotechnical design and analysis of shallow and deep foundations, slope stability analyses of landslides, settlement estimates, design of earth retaining systems, and ground improvement assessments for complex sites.
• Develop or review full design packages with geotechnical reports, calculations, drawings, specifications and cost estimates.
• Provide technical direction to less tenured staff.
• Work in a team environment providing geotechnical engineering services and leadership.
• Lead geotechnical engineer and / or project manager for a wide variety of engineering projects supporting public and private sector clients.
• Develop proposals and participate in other business development activities.
• Assist senior staff in managing client relationships, including business and new client development to expand the scope of our existing services.

Employment Status : Full-Time

Salary Range : $130,000 - $200,000

Salary dependent upon experience and geographic location
