The project manager at Salem Health oversees assigned projects, ensuring timely and effective outcomes through skilled team engagement, resource allocation, and progress monitoring. This role requires strong leadership coaching, metric development, and communication skills to drive project success and strategic alignment. By managing multiple projects and providing consultation to senior leaders, the project manager plays a key role in driving process improvement and achieving organizational objectives.
What you'll do
- Provides direct project management to assigned projects, establishing and documenting project plans, specifying deliverables, and monitoring progress against schedule, utilizing project management tools such as MS Project and leveraging knowledge of project management methodologies.
- Communicates project progress and issues to stakeholders, sponsors, and executives, ensuring timely reporting and updates, and demonstrating excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Identifies innovative solutions to ensure optimal outcomes, securing resources, and developing metrics to effectively report results, leveraging strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Supports and consults with senior and mid-level managers, assisting with strategy and project deployment, and coaching leaders and teams on process improvement strategies and methodologies, including Lean tools and principles.
- Ensures process improvement efforts preserve and enhance quality, service, and financial objectives, aligning with organizational goals, and demonstrating knowledge of business process design and redesign methodologies.
- Develops and tracks key performance metrics, analyzing data to inform decision-making and drive project success.
- Facilitates stakeholder engagement and manages change on an organizational level, leveraging expertise in team facilitation, group process, and change management.
- Leads through influence and collaboration, partnering effectively with leaders and staff at all levels, and demonstrating flexibility and creative problem-solving skills.
- Manages multiple complex projects and priorities, demonstrating attention to detail and follow-through, and utilizing MS Office tools such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, and SharePoint to support project management.
Required qualifications
Associate's degree in information technology, project management, healthcare, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience, where eight years of relevant work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (with each year of education equating to two years of experience, and an associate's degree considered equivalent to four years of experience) may be considered in lieu of a degree.Minimum five years of Epic or related IT experience.Minimum of two years of experience in project management.Additional information
