Job Description
Omni Tempe Hotel at ASU is seeking a Stewarding Supervisor to join our culinary team. This role supports the Executive Steward in leading the stewarding department ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness organization and sanitation across all kitchens and back-of-house areas. The Stewarding Supervisor will train coach and motivate a team responsible for dishwashing equipment care and kitchen supportcontributing directly to the success of our restaurants banquets and events.

Responsibilities
Supervise stewarding staff during daily operations ensuring all tasks are completed safely efficiently and to Omni standards.
Oversee the cleaning racking and distribution of china silver glassware and kitchen equipment.
Review banquet event orders (BEOs) daily to ensure proper support for meetings banquets and catering events.
Maintain sanitation standards in accordance with local health regulations and company policy.
Organize schedules assign duties and inspect work for quality neatness and efficiency.
Train and develop associates to maintain high performance teamwork and morale.
Partner with culinary and banquet teams to ensure smooth kitchen and event operations.
Minimize breakage and maintain inventory of stewarding supplies and equipment.
Ensure back hallways loading docks and storage areas remain clean and organized.
Support the Executive Steward with additional projects and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum 1 year stewarding or culinary operations experience in a hotel resort or high-volume kitchen; 6 months supervisory / lead experience preferred.
Strong leadership and training skills with the ability to motivate and direct a diverse team.
Excellent communication skillsverbal and writtenin English.
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to multi-task under pressure.
Ability to work cohesively with other departments and foster a collaborative culture.
Flexible availability including nights weekends and holidays.
Physical requirements : ability to lift / carry up to 50 lbs. push / pull up to 100 lbs. and stand / walk for extended periods.
Valid Food Safety Certification required.
