You will be responsible for preparing accurate and detailed cost estimates for electrical projects in both industrial, federal, and municipal sectors. The role involves analyzing project drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and a keen attention to detail to ensure competitive and profitable bids.
Key Responsibilities
- Review project drawings and specifications to understand project requirements
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for electrical projects in industrial and commercial settings
- Analyze labor, material, and overhead costs to develop comprehensive bid proposals
- Collaborate with project managers and other departments to gather necessary project information
- Conduct take-offs to quantify materials and labor needed for projects
- Prepare and submit bids on time, ensuring compliance with client requirements
- Maintain accurate records of estimates, bids, and project costs
- Assist in procurement strategies for materials and subcontractors as needed
Qualifications
Proven experience as an Electrical Estimator in the industrial and federal sectorsStrong knowledge of electrical systems and componentsExperience with take offs and bids for multi-family and commercial constructionFamiliarity with construction estimating software and data center projects is a plusExcellent analytical skills and attention to detailStrong communication and negotiation skillsAbility to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple projectsBenefits
