Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Quality Assurance Technician to join our team in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. The QA Technician plays a critical role in ensuring that all products meet company and regulatory standards for safety, quality, and consistency. This position involves monitoring production processes, conducting inspections, and maintaining accurate documentation to support food safety and quality systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine quality checks on raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods.
• Monitor and enforce Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), sanitation procedures, and food safety protocols.
• Conduct environmental and product sampling for microbiological and chemical testing.
• Verify compliance with HACCP, FDA, USDA, and other regulatory requirements.
• Maintain and calibrate QA equipment such as scales, thermometers, and pH meters.
• Document and report non-conformances, assist in root cause analysis, and support corrective actions.
• Collaborate with production and sanitation teams to ensure quality standards are upheld.
• Assist in internal audits and support external inspections.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, test results, and quality metrics.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and training programs.

Work Environment

The work schedule consists of 12-hour block shifts, with a pattern of 2 days on and 2 days off, from 6 : 30 PM to 6 : 45 AM. Flexibility to pick up additional shifts when others are on PTO is required. Saturdays are on an on-call basis, with each technician having a designated Saturday each month. The work environment is split between the lab, where product testing is conducted, and the production line, where samples are retrieved and line checks are performed. The role involves working in conditions that may be cold, wet, or noisy.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00 / hr.
