We are currently in search of a Youth Program Director for a specialized disability nonprofit. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Chicago, IL . This is a permanent assignment.

POSITION TITLE : Youth Program Director
DURATION : Full Time
SALARY : $80,000-83,500 / year

This nonprofit organization provides services to blind and visually impaired adults and adolescents in the Chicagoland area. Reporting to the Executive Director, the Youth Program Director will create and oversee a variety of innovative programs and initiatives designed to help blind and low-vision youth achieve greater independence, build confidence, develop leadership skills, and build lasting friendships.
Our Ideal Candidate :
- Bachelor’s degree, related Master’s Degree a plus
- 5-7 years of experience in nonprofit program direction
- 5-7 years of experience working with youth ages 12-17
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
- Experience working with blind and low-vision youth preferred
- Exceptional interpersonal skills
- Desire to work in a team environment where collaboration is essential
- Ability to work on occasional Saturdays and evenings
