Leidos National Security Sector is seeking a fully cleared Web Developer to support an enterprise IT program. The position requires a full stack web development support specializing in user experience design user interface design development and maintenance of Joomla and WordPress websites. The selected candidate will be doing both design and development of their assigned projects.

In this role you will work closely within a business environment provides quality visualization and publishing services in support of corporate communication requirements for a communitywide client base. The ideal candidate will have full stack web development support specializing in user experience design user interface design development and maintenance of Joomla and WordPress websites. As the Web Developer you will work independently to maintain systems workflows and project schedules and collaborate with in-house team members and client subject matter experts (SMEs) to assess requirements and provide creative and robust website experiences that are technically sound and cost recoverable. The Web Developer should have experience developing tailored Joomla and WordPress websites. They will manage task workloads elicit requirements for website user experience design and development from the communitywide client base and design user interfaces (UI) and employ industry standard user experience (UX) methodologies to design and develop intuitive user experiences. The Web Developer will provide properly structured and tested websites that are Section 508 compliant and apply Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 standards provide recommendations on multimedia and communication design content and features based on the target consumer audience(s); and conduct focus groups and user testing to define requirements. They will document website requirements; develop interactive website conceptual wireframes and prototypes; develop test and manage the deployment of new websites; and maintain new and existing websites. They will also manage the maintenance of new and existing websites; participate in biweekly team meetings that focus on project status and progression team member engagement and utilization and identification and resolution of project inhibitors; and provide regular verbal and written status reports and submit written reports on significant deliverables. They will also apply business acumen to provide cost effective solutions monitor expenditures and provide production data to contribute to a full cost recovery business model; regularly interface directly with the customers as a creative and technical SME; and be supported by an in-house Infrastructure Team and Project Manager with whom extensive coordination is required.

Required Security Clearance :

Active TS / SCI with Polygraph is required.

Required Experience Skills and Education :

Bachelors degree and at least 15 years of experience

Demonstrated experience in Joomla and WordPress site information architecture design visual design and site administration.

Demonstrated experience with end user-focused UX methodologies including conducting focus groups and user testing building intuitive information architecture and developing conceptual wireframes and prototypes.

Demonstrated experience designing and supporting Joomla Extension or Module creation.

Demonstrated experience designing developing implementing and supporting Joomla websites.

Demonstrated experience in development of custom Joomla modules and components (e.g. news login search filtering).

Demonstrated experience in development of custom Joomla plugins to override core functionality (e.g. contact forms events appointments).

Demonstrated experience in Joomla extension development (i.e. components modules plugins and templates).

Demonstrated experience in generating template creation and integration.

Demonstrated experience with Gantry Helix and T4 Joomla frameworks.

Demonstrated experience designing developing implementing and supporting WordPress websites.

Demonstrated experience designing developing implementing and supporting database-driven websites.

Demonstrated experience developing websites and applications meeting Section 508 standards for accessibility and usability as well as privacy and copyright compliance.

Demonstrated experience testing with multiple forms of assistive technology tools (JAWS NVDA ZoomText) and browser specific technologies (Lighthouse JAWS Inspect WAVE ARC Tool)

Demonstrated experience with Accessible Rich Internet Applications (ARIA) and its proper use understanding and implementation of WCAG 2.1 standards web accessibility auditing and remediation and understanding impacts of accessibility on disabled users.

Demonstrated experience developing debugging maintaining and enhancing code such as HTML XML CSS JavaScript jQuery PHP and YAML.

Demonstrated experience managing multiple web development projects simultaneously.

Demonstrated experience working closely with graphic interactive UX and UI designers to translate designs into pixel-perfect responsive websites apps HTML emails and interactive experiences.

Demonstrated experience to quickly customize out of the box plugins to meet the User Interface design intent.

Demonstrated experience testing debugging evaluating and building code that works across multiple browsers and digital platforms ensuring it is valid properly structured and meets requirements and industry standards.

Desired Experience Skills and Education :

Demonstrated experience designing implementing supporting enterprise Content Management Systems (CMS) or Knowledge Management Systems (KMS).

Demonstrated experience implementing complex visual styles via HTML5 or Bootstrap.

Demonstrated experience designing implementing and maintaining user authentication methods.

Demonstrated experience with SharePoint Site Collection Administration (SCA).

Demonstrated experience using authoring or scripting languages.

Demonstrated experience programming using PHP.

Demonstrated experience with preprocessor scripting language tools (SASS or LESS).

Demonstrated experience working within a working capital fund business enterprise.

Pay Range :

Pay Range $134550.00 - $243225.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline onlyand not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job education experience knowledge skills and abilities as well as internal equity alignment with market data applicable bargaining agreement (if any) or other law.
