Required Qualifications : Applicants must specifically address how they meet these required qualifications to meet the requirements of the position. :

• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple cases concurrently.
• Demonstrated experience in assessing the severity and urgency of assigned cases with the ability to aptly provide support, identify specific needs, and prioritize referrals and / or resources.
• Demonstrated experience in launching a new support program or improving referral systems that align with both survivor needs and organizational missions.
• Demonstrated experience in maintaining accurate, up-to-date records in secure databases or case management systems is essential. This includes intake notes, follow-up logs, and service documentation.
• Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, counseling, social work, or a related field.
• Experience in human services, particularly with victims of interpersonal violence.
• At least two years of experience in victim advocacy.

Job Description :

The Victim Advocate will be responsible for providing essential support to victims of crime, ensuring they are informed of their rights and available services, and assisting them in navigating the criminal justice system. This includes providing written notifications regarding medical or emergency services, victim’s compensation, and referrals to social service agencies, all in compliance with Texas law.
