At UCF Health Faculty Physician Practice, we are committed to providing the very best medical care to the Greater Orlando community and strengthening community ties with the UCF College of Medicine. We’re looking for a healthcare Scheduler to join our team and support our mission of improving lives through exceptional service.

What You'll Do

Patients – Administrative functions

  • Schedules patient appointments via phone call, online appointment request and reschedules appointments due to template changes.
  • Registers patient appointments and verifies insurance. Obtains insurance information does not verify insurance.
  • Refers or triages patients to appropriate nursing staff.
  • Adheres to HIPAA guidelines / regulations / annual HIPAA training.
  • Receives communication from patients via the patient portal regarding appointment changes that are needed and to update demographic information.

Schedules patients for testing procedures.

  • Determines appropriate time / types of appointments and procedures.
  • Assists with internal referrals to schedule appointment.
  • Sends documentation to appropriate parties regarding patient care.

    • What We're Looking For

  • Education : A high school education or GED
  • Experience : One to three years of similar or related healthcare experience
  • Skills : Sound knowledge of medical terminology and billing, Excellent communication, organization, and multitasking abilities
  • Tech-savvy : Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet computer skills, eCW a plus
  • Attitude : Compassionate, dependable, and team-oriented
