job_description.job_card.job_descriptionManage and track internal assets and equipment within the company. Manage the logistics and coordination of materials and equipment for upcoming projects. Work with shipping and receiving to develop and implement best practices. Manage travel and logistics for projects nationwide. Collaborate with leadership and department managers to identify and address current and future needs for equipment, materials, and products. Prepare cost reports on a regular basis, assist with financial tracking and forecasting. Maintain / Implement viable records keeping and project tracking systems. Identify areas for improvement and cost savings. Maintain / Develop good working relationships with vendors. Negotiate best value pricing with suppliers and subcontractors. Administer and manage subcontract agreements. Work with leadership to develop best practices for material management, purchasing, and contract management. Coordinate with Maintenance Dept. on asset management and planned upgrades. Administer a working departmental budget. Periodically operate as a backup to Admin team for AP, AR, and Payroll. Be instrumental in the growth and success of Vanwin’s operations. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail. Strong leadership skills with an ability to train others. Thorough understanding of materials and supplies used within the company. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and purchasing software. 3-5 years’ experience- preferably in ship repair, industrial coatings, or federal contracting industries. Bachelor’s degree in a related field or comparable on the job training. High skill level in PC usage including purchasing software, MS Office suite software and accounting software.
