Supply Chain Specialist Providence, RI Currently looking for a Supply Chain Specialist to fill an opening with an expanding organization located in Providence, RI. Interested candidates should hold an Undergraduate degree preferably with a major in Supply Chain or Operations and strong computer skills. Responsibilities of the Supply Chain Specialist Prepare, review, process and place purchase orders as directed by Supply Chain Team. Ensure all purchase order confirmations are received accurately and are logged into the ERP system used. Perform administrative functions such as scheduling meetings and execute miscellaneous data extraction in ERP system. Investigate discrepancies with all orders to resolve delivery and invoicing issues. Monitor open orders and follow up with suppliers to ensure delivery is on time. Track and maintain inventory, perform month end reconciliation, monitor the aging of inventory, and make appropriate recommendations. Interact with the various departments including Shipping & Receiving, Sales, Accounting, and Customer Service. Requirements of the Supply Chain Specialist Undergraduate degree required. Supply Chain or Operations Majors are a large plus Ability to multi task, deal with multiple critical issues at one time, and see through to completion in a timely fashion. Willingness to work hand in hand with sales and customer service, providing the assistance and information they require in a positive and timely fashion. Strong computer skills including advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
