About You / What Youll Need + Position Specifics
The PR / Social Media Specialist will lead Highland Group marketing and client PR and social media strategies. Responsibilities will include :
- Create and manage media relations, including identifying and planning media opportunities, pitching stories and expert spokespeople, and developing and maintaining media lists and media relationships.
- Research, write and pitch press releases and relevant stories.
- Track media mentions and other effectiveness measures.
- Create engaging social media and thought leadership content aligned with the organization's goals and brand identity across multiple social platforms.
- Engage with community through responses, reposts, polls, and more.
- Measure success of social campaigns.
- Stay up to date on social trends and best practices.
- May also be responsible for blog, newsletter, and other long-form content and managing influencer campaigns.
