Wood is recruiting for a Project Manager to join its Operations Americas business. This opportunity is onsite in Brownsville, TX.

As the Project Manager you will be responsible for managing facility-based capital projects in an active chemical manufacturing plant as part of that plant’s capital project’s group.

Expected :

Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering,

Minimum 10 years of industry related experience working as a Project Manager.

Actual manufacturing plant experience and have supported at least on turnaround or extended outage.

Willing and capable of working extended hours or weekends (infrequently) as needed to support plant outages and tight deadline projects.

Demonstrated knowledge of successful project management practices such as development of scope, schedule, and estimate and subsequent project cost controls and forecasting.

Knowledge of chemical or related manufacturing facilities and experience managing projects in these facilities.

Able to proactively plan, organize, and drive projects from inception to start up and completion.

Ability to work in and foster a strong team environment with minimal supervision.

Strong safety champion who will lead the project in achieving zero incidents and injuries.

A pro-active approach to solving problems and getting the job done.

Self-motivated / Self-directed.

Able to handle multiple activities simultaneously.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Demonstrated knowledge of gated work process for project management and experience managing projects using a gated process.

Good negotiation and meeting facilitation skills.

Good working knowledge of the procurement process.

Knowledge of current versions of industry standard codes, practices, and procedures and their application.

Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.

Good communication skills, both verbal and written.

Good presentation skills.

Strong working knowledge of SAP, Project Systems Module (preferable).
