Job Description

This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to Warren, MI or Austin, TX three times per week, at minimum [or other frequency dictated by the business if more than 3 days].

What You'll Do

Scrum & Agile Leadership

Lead all Agile ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, backlog grooming, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.

Guide teams in Agile best practices and remove blockers to enable high performance and continuous improvement.

Own end-to-end delivery across multiple technical workstreams.

Track and report progress, manage risks, identify interdependencies, and drive alignment across stakeholders.

Proactively engage with product owners, engineering, QA, and business teams to ensure successful outcomes.

Executes on assigned tasks with a moderate level of autonomy.Collaborates and teams extremely effectively

Cross-Functional & Influential Leadership

Coordinate across teams and functions without direct reporting lines.

Navigate ambiguity with confidence and lead tough conversations when needed - always with professionalism and empathy.

Actively seek interlocks and ensure no dependency or issue is left unresolved.

Technical Fluency

Possess a strong understanding of software development processes, system architecture, and technical constraints.

Engage in discussions with engineering and technical leadership to drive clarity and unblock teams.

Documentation & Communication

Create and maintain clear, concise, and impactful project and program documentation.

Develop executive-level presentations that articulate project status, risks, roadmaps, and outcomes.

Maintain Confluence pages for team activities, delivery updates, process documentation, and key decisions.

Communicate regularly with leadership, ensuring transparency and confidence in program execution.

Proactive Value Addition

Always seek ways to add value to the program, team, and business objectives.

Be a relentless advocate for delivery excellence, team accountability, and alignment to GM's mission.

Stay prepared and informed to step in and make decisions that keep progress on track

Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field;

5+ years in a Scrum Master, Agile Program / Project Manager, or equivalent technical project leadership role.

Deep expertise in Jira and Confluence for team coordination and visibility.

Strong written and verbal communication skills; capable of translating complex technical work into executive-ready messaging.

Demonstrated ability to work independently and lead multiple concurrent projects in a matrixed organization.

Proven track record of driving alignment, execution, and outcomes without formal authority.

Adept at handling ambiguity and adjusting quickly to shifting priorities.

Ability to multi-task and stay organized in a dynamic work environment

This job is not eligible for relocation benefits. Any relocation costs would be the responsibility of the selected candidate.

Compensation :

The expected base compensation for this role is : $134,000 - $219,400. Actual base compensation within the identified range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.

Bonus Potential : An incentive pay program offers payouts based on company performance, job level, and individual performance.
