ABOUT THIS ROLE
Amrize, a leading supplier of quality, construction building materials in the United States, has immediate openings for a Scale Master to support multiple quarry locations throughout Wrentham, MA. This position is primarily responsible for accurately weighing and recording all incoming and outgoing truck loads to ensure proper inventory and billing. They also coordinate with drivers and Quarry personnel to maintain efficient traffic flow and compliance with safety and operational procedures.
WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH
- Weighing Trucks Accurately : Operate the scale system to record the weight of all incoming and outgoing trucks carrying aggregate materials.
- Maintaining Accurate Records : Ensure all tickets, load slips, and digital records are complete, accurate, and entered correctly into the system.
- Coordinating with Drivers : Communicate clearly with truck drivers to direct them to the correct loading or unloading areas and ensure safe traffic flow.
- Customer Service : Provide professional and courteous service to customers, drivers, and vendors picking up materials.
- Data Entry and Reporting : Input daily load information into the company database or ticketing software and generate end-of-day reports.
- Quality and Inventory Support : Assist with tracking material types and quantities to help maintain accurate inventory levels.
- Compliance and Safety : Follow all quarry safety protocols, DOT regulations, and company policies when interacting with vehicles and personnel.
- Communication with Plant and Office Staff.
- Work closely with dispatch, plant operators, and office staff to resolve ticket issues, verify orders, and ensure smooth daily operations.
