Client is looking for a Scrum Master resource assignment throughout the project lifecycle and possibly into operational ongoing support.
The Scrum Master is responsible for implementation and oversight of scrum processes applied to operations throughout the organization and / or in specific work units.This position is responsible for coaching team members in scrum methodology, leading scrum events, and eliminating barriers to assure successful sprints. This position proactively collaborates with all stakeholders to support release planning and foster team decision-making, while facilitating collaboration between the scrum team and Product Owner.
The purpose of this contract position is to successfully support cross-functional scrum teams to add value efficiently through the practice of scrum events and agile principles. Resources usually spend their days :
- Coordinating and facilitating all scrum events throughout the lifecycle
- Facilitating and participating in the daily scrum
- Helping the team maintain their burndown chart
- Shielding the team from interruptions during the sprint
- Removing obstacles that affect the team
- Walking the product owner through more technical user stories
- Encouraging collaboration between the scrum team and Product Owner
