Permian BOP Service Writer

The Permian BOP Service Writer is responsible for providing administrative and operational support to the BOP Department. This position ensures all maintenance, service, and equipment records are accurately documented, coordinated, and tracked to support operational efficiency, safety, and compliance. You will play a key role in scheduling, recordkeeping, and supporting the day-to-day functions of the BOP team.

Wage : $22.00 / Hour

Status : Full-time, Non-exempt

Reports to : Permian BOP Manager

Direct Reports : None

Travel Requirements : 0% (may occasionally visit shop or field locations)

Schedule : Typically, Monday through Friday, 8 : 00 a.m. - 5 : 00 p.m., with flexibility to meet departmental needs

Duties

Review and process all incoming BOP work order requests.

Create and maintain service work orders, ensuring accurate documentation of parts, labor, and materials.

Coordinate and schedule maintenance and inspections for BOP and torque / test equipment.

Maintain BOP equipment records, service reports, and certifications in Salesforce and other systems.

Update and manage the department work schedule to reflect current priorities.

Assist in revising and improving BOP service practices and documentation.

Perform other related duties as assigned by the BOP Manager.

Skills & Abilities

Education : Associate or bachelor's degree preferred

Experience : Minimum 3 years in administrative or service coordination roles; oilfield, maintenance, or equipment service experience preferred

Salesforce experience preferred

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities

Must pass pre-employment background check and drug screening

Physical Requirements

Typical office environment with occasional shop or field visits

Must be able to sit, stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs occasionally

Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as needed
