The role you'll contribute :

The scribe is responsible to document the physician dictated patient history, physical examination, family, social and past medical history as well as document procedures, lab results, and dictated radiographic impressions made by the supervising physician. The scribe also performs all clerical and information technology functions for a physician in the clinic setting, including primary responsibility for the operation of electronic health records and electronic dictation systems. Primary goal is to increase the efficiency and productivity of the physician. This position will have no direct involvement in patient care. Must be able to anticipate physician needs to facilitate the flow of clinic. Must be discreet, tactful, and unobtrusive in performance of duties so as not to distract medical staff from patient care. Good judgment, organizational ability, initiative, attention to detail, and the ability to be self-motivated are especially important. Must be adaptable and versatile. Good attendance is an important element of this job.

Spots mistakes or inconsistencies in medical documentation and corrects information to reduce errors.

Ensures physician signs off on addenda and completes patient charts.

Write reports and correspondence, demonstrating proficiency in typing, spelling, punctuation, grammar, and oral communication.

Listens to complex medical information and summarizes it clearly and concisely.

Translates medical abbreviations into their expanded forms and maintains confidentiality and privacy in accordance with HIPAA regulations.

Qualifications

The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed :

2 Years Work Experience - Required

Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) - Preferred
