Fiscal Analyst
A Chico-based nonprofit organization is seeking a Fiscal Analyst to join its fiscal team. The Fiscal Analyst will support financial operations, grant management, budgeting, and external audits. This role is critical in maintaining strong fiscal systems, ensuring compliance, and providing strategic financial insight to leadership. The successful candidate will initially work with close guidance for 6 to 12 months, with the opportunity for advancement as experience grows.
The Fiscal Analyst will :
- Prepare, analyze, and present accurate and timely financial reports, including bank reconciliations, grant reporting, and financial statements.
- Lead the annual audit process and liaise with external auditors and the finance committee of the board of directors.
- Oversee and lead the annual budgeting and planning process in conjunction with the CEO and Fiscal Accountant.
- Manage organizational cash flow and forecasting.
- Implement a robust contracts management and financial management / reporting system.
- Update and implement necessary finance policies and accounting practices.
- Effectively communicate and present critical financial matters to the CEO and board of directors.
- Work closely and transparently with all external partners, including third-party vendors and consultants.
- Oversee administrative functions and facilities to ensure efficient and consistent operations.
- Process accounts receivable (AR) tasks, banking and bank relations, cash receipts, and deposits.
- Process all aspects of the role, including serving as back-up for attendance processing.
Qualifications :
Compensation : This position offers a competitive hourly range of $40.00 to $45.00, depending on experience and qualifications.
