San Bernardino County Probation Department is recruiting for Business Systems Analysts II (BSA II) . BSA II's evaluate existing business processes / systems / workflows and develop business applications to enhance delivery of departmental services. Assignments include studies in workflow and technology integration; projects requiring research, analysis, and solution development; interacting with all levels of technical, administrative, and professional staff as well as leading a team and assigning project tasks to team members. This position will lead project status meetings, identify gaps, assess the needs of the department and research new, up-to-date solutions.

Pre-Employment Process : Prior to appointment, applicants will be fingerprinted and must pass abackground investigation. Applicants must not have been convicted of a felony or currently be on court ordered probation (or have been with the last year). Minimum Requirements

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE : Two (2) years of experience performing IT business systems analysis or information systems analysis, including four (4) of the following areas : requirements gathering, end user acceptance testing, process mapping, workflow diagramming, documenting business rules, feasibility studies, and cost / benefit analysis.

REQUIRED EDUCATION : Thirty (30) semester (45 quarter) units of completed coursework from and accredited college or university in information technology, computer science, business administration or a closely related field. Education Substitution : One (1) year of additional qualifying experience may substitute for the required education.

Desired Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience solving technical issues, interacting with end users and program developers, and acting in a lead capacity for other technical staff, in addition to providing infrastructure support. In addition the ideal candidate will have experience utilizing the following : Guard 1, Mugshot System, DocuSign, Structured Query Language (SQL), Network Demilitarized Zone (DMZ), and Fusion Inventory Management.
