A local organization is seeking a detail-oriented

payroll clerk

to support a significant retro-pay project. A recent compensation adjustment requires retroactive payroll updates dating back several months, and the

payroll clerk

will be essential in ensuring accurate calculations and timely processing.

Position Overview

The

payroll clerk

will focus primarily on calculating and processing retroactive payroll adjustments. In addition, the

payroll clerk

will assist with year-end payroll activities such as W-2 and 1095 preparation. This role is ideal for a

payroll clerk

with strong analytical skills and prior experience handling complex payroll situations.

Key Responsibilities

Serve as the lead

payroll clerk

for a retro-pay project.

Calculate and process retroactive pay for affected employees.

Support year-end tasks, including W-2s and 1095s.

Collaborate with the finance team to ensure payroll accuracy and resolve discrepancies.

Maintain organized records, audit pay adjustments, and support general payroll operations.

Required Qualifications

Proven experience as a

payroll clerk

with hands-on retro-pay processing.

General payroll experience and familiarity with payroll systems.

Strong attention to detail, confidentiality, and accuracy with financial data.

Preferred Qualifications

Prior accounting experience is a plus.
