Job Description

• Oversee all on-site building and construction activities for assigned commercial and public works projects, ensuring safety, quality, and schedule adherence.
• Coordinate and manage subcontractors, self-performed work, and field staff to maintain efficient workflows and high standards of execution.
• Serve as the primary on-site liaison with owners, architects, consultants, and inspectors, fostering strong communication and collaboration.
• Maintain accurate project documentation including daily reports, as-builts, RFIs, and progress photos, while supporting project scheduling and cost tracking.
• Champion jobsite safety and compliance, implementing company protocols and proactively addressing potential risks or issues.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Superintendent - Public Works should have :

• 5+ years of experience managing commercial or public works building and construction projects, with a strong understanding of field operations and subcontractor coordination.
• Direct experience with projects based in Los Angeles or Orange County strongly preferred.
• Proven ability to lead teams on complex job sites, ensuring safety, quality control, and adherence to project schedules and budgets.
• Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with owners, architects, consultants, and field personnel.
• Proficiency in building and construction management software, including Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Procore and MS Project is a plus.
• A proactive, detail-oriented mindset, with the ability to problem-solve independently and uphold high standards of workmanship and compliance.
