Inpatient Adult Psychiatry Opening in Mesa, AZ About the Opening - Location : Mesa, AZ- Full-time, permanent- Seeking an inpatient Attending Psychiatrist for our adult inpatient program- The ideal candidate must enjoy working with hospitalized, seriously mentally ill patients- Caseload is 9-10 patients, with an average length of stay of 22 days- Most patients are involuntary.- This position includes faculty appointment (for eligible candidates)- Duties include collaboration with a psychiatric nurse practitioner and teaching of rotating medical students- This is a full-time position with all benefits, including four weeks of paid time off, one week of CME (with an annual CME allowance of $4,000), ten paid holidays, retirement plan and employer paid malpractice coverage. - Candidates must be Board certified or in the process of Board certification and must possess an Arizona medical license prior to beginning employment. Additional Information : - The medical group has 3 inpatient psychiatric hospitals. 2 of which are teaching facilities for Psychiatry residents - these hospitals are staffed with psychiatrists and residents (no APPs). The 3rd facility has medical students - it is staffed with 50% Psychiatrists 50% APPs.- Candidates must have an M.
