Project Manager / Estimator – Structural Steel | Ontario, CA

Our client is a well-established, employee-owned structural steel company operating across the West Coast of North America. With multiple divisions and in-house fabrication facilities, the company is known for delivering high-quality steel construction projects through precision, collaboration, and craftsmanship.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager / Estimator to join their Southern California division. This role offers the opportunity to lead full-cycle steel projects, from estimating through execution , while working alongside a highly skilled and collaborative team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare accurate, detailed cost estimates for structural steel projects
  • Oversee project schedules, budgets, and deliverables from bid through completion
  • Coordinate with engineering, detailing, fabrication, and field teams
  • Conduct site inspections and ensure adherence to quality and safety standards
  • Maintain consistent communication with clients, subcontractors, and vendors
  • Manage logistics and proactively address project challenges to ensure timely delivery

Qualifications

  • Experience in structural steel project management and estimating is a must
  • Strong understanding of fabrication and erection processes
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (preferred)
  • Must be able to work on-site in Ontario, CA
