Position Description :

CGI Federal has an exciting opportunity for a Project Scheduler within our Intel sector advancing the national security mission through cutting edge technology. The Project Scheduler develops, monitors, and manages detailed project timelines, tasks, and resource allocation to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. Key responsibilities include creating schedules using industry-standard software (like Primavera or Microsoft Project), analyzing progress, identifying risks, facilitating communication between stakeholders, and providing regular status reports to project managers and leadership. Project schedulers are crucial for maintaining project organization and coordinating all phases to achieve project goals

This position is located in USA VA Arlington, however, a hybrid working model is acceptable.

Your future duties and responsibilities :

• Schedule Development : Create comprehensive project schedules by breaking down tasks, defining timelines, and identifying dependencies using specialized software.
• Progress Monitoring & Reporting : Track project progress against the schedule, analyze variances, and prepare regular reports for project managers and stakeholders to highlight potential delays or issues.
• Risk Management : Perform critical path method (CPM) analysis to identify risks, such as resource shortages or material delays, and develop mitigation strategies to minimize their impact.
• Resource Coordination : Work with project teams to ensure the proper allocation of labor, equipment, and materials for each project phase.
• Stakeholder Communication : Serve as a central point of contact, facilitating communication among project managers, technical experts, and other stakeholders to keep everyone informed and aligned on project timelines.
• Process Improvement : Contribute to refining scheduling processes and implementing best practices within the organization's project management framework.
