As a Surgery Scheduler, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely completion of all required documentation for patients registering for procedures. In this role, you will support the Digestive Disease Institute (DDI) Center by coordinating and scheduling Endoscopy cases, managing inbound and outbound communications, contacting patients from the Endoscopy work queue, transcribing medical orders, and scheduling procedures for both external and Sanitas referrals. This position is an excellent steppingstone to other careers within Customer Service and different departments at Cleveland Clinic. A caregiver in this role works a hybrid schedule from 8 : 00 a.m. 5 : 00 p.m., with the possibility of working from home. A caregiver who excels in this role will :

• Deliver imaging materials to other departments and nursing units as requested.
• Conduct data entry and retrieval of information from the appropriate information systems.
• Maintain adequate supplies in the work area with items necessary to perform the daily schedule and advise a supervisor of any items needed from materials management or vendor.
• Submit ideas for quality or performance improvement for department operations.
• Provide customer service by answering and routing telephone calls.
• Orient new personnel and assist in their transition to the work environment as assigned.
• Aid other associates in the department upon completion of responsible duties or as assigned by a supervisor.
• Attend and participate in monthly department meetings.
