Atlantic Coast Recycling is looking to add a Plant Mechanic to the team in Passaic, NJ.

Pay for this role will be $31-36 / hr depending on relevant experience

As a mechanic with us the minimum responsibilities are :

Perform repairs and inspections, safety checks, diagnosis and repair of electrical, hydraulics on plant equipment

Utilize computer electrical systems to interpret failure modes to identify and adjust plant machinery

Respond to emergency repairs

Reviewing and / or Completing or repairs

Completing required paperwork utilizing maintenance software programs.

Testing machine after services and repairs

Helping other team members with repairs as needed

Having professional and courteous interactions with all team members

Maintains a clean, safe work area in compliance with corporate and OSHA standards.

Perform other miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

What we need from you :

Troubleshoot and perform electrical and mechanical repairs as needed on the plant equipment

Ensure operation of the mechanical equipment and machinery by performing preventative maintenance

Perform daily inspection of all equipment to minimize unforeseen breakdowns

Install wear parts on conveyors, screens, optical sorters,

Adjusts work priorities as necessary to meet production needs.

Ability to multi-task and work under limited supervision

Ability to perform physical requirements such as bending, reaching, stretching, and lifting

Must be able to work in a noisy environment

Basic mechanic tools required

Must comply with plant safety practices
