This pivotal role will focus on driving enterprise strategy and executing on strategic initiatives. The ideal candidate has a history of being a solid strategic thinker, a track record of delivering within aggressive timelines, and demonstrated experience in working with, and influencing, cross-functional teams to deliver strategic recommendations.
Role Responsibilities
- Take a leadership role in building and expanding Western Union's corporate strategy and driving our strategic planning processes.
- Identify opportunities in existing businesses and / or assess new business opportunities, with a focus on top and bottom-line improvements.
- Assess market, consumer, and competitive research and analyses (working with research teams) to create a foundation of insights to inform strategies.
- Build strategic rationale to justify and socialize new opportunities.
- Create clear, structured strategic recommendations, communicated through concise storytelling that can be presented to C-level company executives.
- Project manage key strategic initiatives through the development of work plans that define cross-functional team roles and responsibilities and timelines to execute. Additionally, this role will need to own the strategic assessment, project initiation, design, planning, and monitoring of workstreams / efforts across teams.
- Develop metric-driven business cases to quantify the investment and potential opportunity of new strategic initiatives and service offerings.
- Manage relationships and collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute strategic initiatives and service offerings.
- Be a thought leader and engage, influence, and become a partner to our senior executives across business lines and regions.

Salary
The base salary range is $185,000 - $200,000 USD per year, total on target compensation includes a base salary plus long-term and short-term incentives that align with individual and company performance.
