Pipe Welder

As a Pipe Welder, you will be responsible for welding natural gas delivery products constructed from raw materials, ensuring adherence to blue print specifications and API 1104 certification standards and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Weld natural gas delivery products according to blue print specifications.
  • Ensure welding processes meet API 1104 certification standards.
  • Use stick welding and pipe welding techniques effectively.
  • Read and interpret blue prints and mechanical drawings.
  • Engage in fabrication tasks as needed.
  • Perform welding tasks involving pipe welding, stick rod, and stick / arc welding.

Essential Skills

  • Proficiency in welding, particularly stick welding and pipe welding.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in stick welding and pipe welding.
  • Ability to read and interpret blue prints and mechanical drawings.
  • Completion of API 1104 certification test.

    • Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in turntable welding preferred.
  • Experience in overhead position welding is an advantage.

    Job Type & Location

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Birmingham, AL.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00 / hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.
