Job Summary
Statistics Co-Pilots provide statistics tutoring services in the Math Resource Center (MRC) located within the Learning Commons. Stats Co-Pilots provide drop-in and appointment-based tutoring services for mathematics students. Stats Co-Pilots work between 2 and 4 hours a week, based on tutoring experience, course background, and scheduling needs for the MRC. Stats Co-Pilots participate in pedagogical and content training. Pay rate is the Portland Metro minimum wage.
Core Duties
- Maintain a professional, welcoming environment in the MRC and Learning Commons
- Support active student learning in mathematics, including homework, study skills, test and quiz review
- Attend all required training sessions, including including an initial training during the Spring and Summer prior to the start of Fall semester
- Maintain a clean and organized space in the MRC
- Maintain appointment calendar for appointment-based tutoring
- Option to deliver appointment-based tutoring in both in-person and virtual settings
- Other relevant duties as assigned
