Laurel Heights Academy is looking for teachers! Laurel Heights Academy is a department of Laurel Heights Hospital, a residential treatment facility located in Atlanta, Georgia. Laurel Heights teachers are responsible for the day-to-day supervision of the classroom, including managing online curriculum, individualizing student education, direct social skills instruction, grade and attendance reporting, attending treatment team meetings, and more. Laurel Heights Hospital is an intensive Residential Treatment / Acute and Autism Spectrum Disorders Program for children and adolescents. We serve and treat psychiatric and behavioral difficulties and co-occurring psychiatric issues. We provide a caring, therapeutic setting with various therapeutic modalities and applied behavior analysis services. Our classrooms are small, with support staff to assist with classroom management.
Teaching experience and Special Education certification preferred. Eligibility for GA teaching certificate required.
