Physical Therapy Assistant | Tulsa OK

$34-$38 Per Hour

Job Summary

Provides direct patient care by administering appropriate treatments, completing timely documentation, and educating patients and families.

• Job Responsibilities
• Administer appropriate patient treatments and adjust as needed.
• Assist the supervising PT in modifying and updating functional goals.
• Maintain a caseload that meets productivity standards.
• Complete accurate, same-day documentation and patient charges.
• Ensure charges reflect time spent, procedures performed, and equipment issued.
• Maintain clinical skills through continuing education and in-service participation.
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, home exercises, and equipment use.
• Follow established care pathways and operational guidelines.
• Schedule and prioritize daily assignments.
• Delegate appropriate tasks to support personnel.
• Assist with volunteers and PTA students when requested.
• Use time and resources efficiently.
• Exercise independent judgment within established policies.
• Collaborate with patients, families, internal staff, external partners, and other healthcare professionals.
• Required Skills & Experience
• 0–6 months of related experience.
• Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Effective time-management abilities.
• Required Education
• Associate’s degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Required Certification & Licensure
• Valid State Physical Therapist Assistant license.
