Baldwin Paving Company, Inc. is currently seeking a Paving Screwman to join our team. This will be a full-time role. This position reports to the Site Foreman. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of experience operating the Screed Paver. It would also be helpful to have knowledge of using paver electronics but on the job training will be provided. This position runs on an 8-to-12-hour shift which includes nights and weekends.

General Summary of the Position

The Screwman's primary function is to adjust the screed height on the paving machine to ensure proper depth, grade, and finish. The Screwman is also responsible for ensuring the consistency of the asphalt mat and the overall ride quality of the finished pavement.

Other Requirements :

Display a professional and courteous attitude to co-workers, supervisors, and the general public at all times. Must be willing to travel and work away from home when required. Must be willing to work nights and weekends when necessary. Report to the assigned job site in proper attire and ready to begin work at the designated start time. Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures as outlined in the Safety Manual. Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required.

Personal Protective Equipment :

Individuals are required to wear personal protective equipment in designated operations and production areas as stated by OSHA and / or MSHA and company policy. Protective equipment that may be required, but not limited to, for this position : Coveralls, Fall Protection, Gloves, Welding Gloves, Hard Hat, Hearing Protection, Padlocks for Lockout / Tagout, Respiratory Protection, Safety Glasses, Safety (hard toe) Shoes, Welding Aprons, Welding Helmet, Welding Shield.
