Job Description

  • Tier 3 technical support to help the user base with issues related to the systems and their functionality.

Support the integration of filings submitted through a web application that are automatically loaded into the back-end premium accounting system through the use of web services. The web service receives and validates the filing and payment information. It calculates any interest and penalties owed, as well as overpayments.

Integrations include :

Pay.gov to collect premium payments for plan filings.

  • MyPBA service to validate bank routing information for payment processing.
  • Login.gov for multifactor authentication.
  • Customer Correspondence System (CCS) to generate and print letters.
  • Image Processing System (IPS) for storage.
  • US Bank receives payment files through an automated SFTP process.
  • Department of Labor ERISA Filing Acceptance System II (DOL EFAST2). Data is sent through flat files that are transferred to a file server via SFTP.
  • Case Management System (CMS).
  • Case and Legal Matter Management System (CLMS).
  • Treasury’s FedDebt. The interface transfers flat files through Direct : Connect software.
  • Treasury Collections Information Repository (CIR) : A daily extract file, transferred by VPN.
  • Unison PRISM.
  • Payroll Interface
  • Concur Interface
  • Invoice Automation-an automated workflow that links IPS with Oracle via Business Process Execution Language (BPEL).
  • Invoice Processing Platform (IPP)
  • Budget Execution Interface- automated, Structured Query Language-based, customized, software that processes data from customized Excel spreadsheets to create a formatted journal entry file for import into the Oracle Financials – Revolving Fund’s General Ledger module.
  • Secure Payment System (SPS)

    • Identify the root cause of issues.

  • Provide recommendations of Product Backlog Item (PBIs) / User Stories to reduce tickets and stabilize the systems.
  • Detailed tracking of tickets, response, and resolution timing.
  • Support requirements definition, analysis and specification, design and design specification, development (including prototyping, coding, and configuration), testing, implementation and deployment, and operations turnover to client staff for system enhancements and emergency releases.
  • Support development of design docs (Technical, Architecture, Data Models).
  • Accurately translate requirements and designs into functionality with prototyping, demos, and proof-of-concept activities.
  • Support walkthroughs of design documentation and demos of functionality / prototypes.
  • Support regression testing (over 1500 scripts) and preparation for deployment to Production.
  • Peer review code to confirm it addresses the requirements and design for the release and impacts do not go beyond the scope of the release.
  • Ensure that code is regularly checked in each evening and that development processes maximize the use of MS Azure Pipelines for release development and deployment.
  • Support automated deployments in all environments, including Production, using MS AzureDevOps Pipelines and associated add-ins.
  • Participate in IPT meetings and Agile Scrum Ceremonies.

    • Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience with (or 10 years of experience with no degree)
  • PL / SQL,  Interfaces, JAVA, SOA (web services), BPEL
  • Hands-on experience supporting large-scale financial or enterprise systems with multiple internal and external integrations.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills to resolve interface errors and ensure seamless data exchange.
  • Experience conducting impact analysis, regression testing, and remediation of interface changes.
  • Proficiency with interface technologies such as APIs, web services (SOAP / REST), middleware, and ETL processes.
  • Strong SQL skills for validating data exchanges and supporting integration testing.
  • Experience with enterprise integration platforms and tools used in federal environments (e.g., Azure DevOps, Oracle).
  • Familiarity with configuration management and version control tools (e.g., Azure Repos).
