Operations Manager

Lead and develop a team of associates with a focus on motivating, mentoring, and coaching. This individual is accountable for engaging their team to maintain the highest levels of safety, quality, performance, and productivity. The Distribution Center Manager will ensure that customer expectations are met daily and orders are processed and shipped without incident. The person in this role will need to be able to show strong leadership, value 'quality' and 'service excellence', drive a customer-centric, employee-centric and continuous improvement culture, be committed to understanding and satisfying internal / external customer needs, and have a desire to provide tools to their team needed for success.

What youll do :

• Lead and work as an integral member of the Site Leadership Team
• Develop and direct management of CDC depts. to ensure timely order processing, inventory control, and effective warehouse management
• Manage logistics and outbound transportation processes to optimize material flow
• Foster relationships with Sales Leaders to develop short and long-term strategies that support growth and customer satisfaction
• Enforce Sonepar business and operation policies
• Develop and review dept. budgets, identifying areas for savings or concerns proactively
• Correspond with branch and company management to resolve questions and issues as they arise
• Participate with dept. managers to investigate and implement operational and administrative process improvements
• Develop self and others by assigning and accepting challenges to expand professional knowledge and capabilities
• Embody personal leadership qualities through the following :

• Support team development through talent and succession planning efforts in partnership with HR
• Provide safety, DOT, and environmental leadership and accountability
• Leverage data and analytics to forecast and plan across supply chain, operations, and logistics
• Implement inbound / outbound logistics optimizations inclusive of supplier synergies and cost reductions
• Other duties as assigned

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk, and hear. The employee frequently is required to sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb or balance. The employee will frequently lift and / or move 10 pounds and may be required to occasionally lift and / or move up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and ability to adjust focus.

Environment : Onsite Meridian, ID

Physical Environment :

This position works in a normal office environment as well as a warehouse environment, with standard office equipment. Lighting and temperature are adequate and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. while working in the office. The noise level in the warehouse environment is usually moderate and temperature can change based on the season.
